lims:fid="428933" lims:id="428933">Shares</MarginalNote><Label>(3)</Label><Text>The shares of the Mint are not transferable and when issued to the Minister in accordance with this Act shall be has the rights, powers and privileges and the capacity of a natural person and may if necessary</Text><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428949" lims:id="428949"><Label>(a)</Label><Text>procure the incorporation, dissolution or amalgamation of subsidiaries and acquire or dispose of any shares in them;</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428950" lims:id="428950"><Label>(b)</Label><Text>acquire and dispose of any interest in any entity by any means;</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428951" lims:id="428951"><Label>(c)</Label><Text>produce and arrange for the production and supply of coins of the currency of Canada;</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428952" lims:id="428952"><Label>(d)</Label><Text>produce and arrange for the production of coins of the currency of countries other than Canada;</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428953" lims:id="428953"><Label>(e)</Label><Text>make medals, plaques, tokens and other objects;</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428954" lims:id="428954"><Label>(f)</Label><Text>melt, assay and refine gold, silver and other metals;</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428955" lims:id="428955"><Label>(g)</Label><Text>lease or acquire gold, silver and other metals;</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428956" lims:id="428956"><Label>(h)</Label><Text>lend, lease or dispose of gold, silver and other metals;</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428957" lims:id="428957"><Label>(i)</Label><Text>issue, promote, deal in or trade in financial services and products relating to gold, silver and other metals, subject to the approval of the Minister and in a manner consistent with the Mint’s last corporate plan as approved under section 122 of the <XRefExternal reference-type="act" link="F-11">Financial Administration Act</XRefExternal>;</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428958" lims:id="428958"><Label>(j)</Label><Text>securely store and securely ship coins, gold, silver and other metals or arrange for their secure storage and shipment;</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428959" lims:id="428959"><Label>(k)</Label><Text>market minting equipment developed by, or on behalf of, the Mint;</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428960" lims:id="428960"><Label>(l)</Label><Text>acquire or provide consulting services relating to any activity referred to in paragraphs (c) to (k);</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428961" lims:id="428961"><Label>(m)</Label><Text>obtain, acquire, license, sell, or otherwise make available or dispose of any patent, copyright, industrial design, trademark or other similar property right, or any licence to any of them, relating to any activity referred to in paragraphs (c) to (k);</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428962" lims:id="428962"><Label>(n)</Label><Text>engage in marketing, promotion and research and in development activities relating to any activity referred to in paragraphs (c) to (k);</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428963" lims:id="428963"><Label>(o)</Label><Text>do any of the activities referred to in paragraphs (d) to (f) and (j) on behalf of any person or entity; and</Text></Paragraph><Paragraph lims:inforce-start-date="2016-12-15" lims:fid="428964" lims:id="428964"><Label>(p)</Label><Text>subject to the approval of the Minister and in a manner consistent with the Mint’s last corporate plan as approved under section 122 of the <XRefExternal reference-type="act" link="F-11">Financial Administration Act</XRefExternal>, engage in any other
