(<DefinedTermFr>Convention</DefinedTermFr>)</Text></Definition><Definition lims:inforce-start-date="2006-03-22" lims:fid="964524" lims:id="964524" generate-in-text="no"><Text><DefinedTermEn>Vienna Convention</DefinedTermEn> means the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations set out in Schedule I to the <XRefExternal reference-type="act" link="F-29.4">Foreign Missions and International Organizations Act</XRefExternal>. (<DefinedTermFr>Convention de Vienne</DefinedTermFr>) </Text></Definition><HistoricalNote><HistoricalNoteSubItem lims:inforce-start-date="2006-03-22" lims:fid="964526" lims:id="964526">SOR/2003-110, s. 3</HistoricalNoteSubItem></HistoricalNote></Section><Heading lims:inforce-start-date="2006-03-22" lims:fid="964527" lims:id="964527" level="1"><TitleText>Privileges and Immunities</TitleText></Heading><Section lims:inforce-start-date="2006-03-22" lims:lastAmendedDate="2006-03-22" lims:fid="964528" lims:id="964528"><Label>3</Label><Subsection lims:inforce-start-date="2006-03-22" lims:fid="964529" lims:id="964529"><Label>(1)</Label><Text>The Commission shall have in Canada the legal capacities of a body corporate and, to the extent specified in Articles 1 to 5 of the Agreement, the privileges and immunities set out in Article II of the Convention.</Text></Subsection><Subsection lims:inforce-start-date="2006-03-22" lims:fid="964530" lims:id="964530"><Label>(2)</Label><Text>Representatives of foreign states that are members of the Commission shall have in Canada, to the extent specified in Article 6 of the Agreement, privileges and immunities comparable to the privileges and immunities accorded in Canada to diplomatic representatives under the Vienna Convention.</Text></Subsection><Subsection lims:inforce-start-date="2006-03-22" lims:fid="964531" lims:id="964531"><Label>(3)</Label><Text>The President of the Commission, and the Vice-President when acting as President, shall have in Canada, to the extent specified in Article 7 of the Agreement, privileges and immunities comparable to the privileges and immunities accorded in Canada to diplomatic representatives under the Vienna Convention.</Text></Subsection><Subsection lims:inforce-start-date="2006-03-22" lims:fid="964532" lims:id="964532"><Label>(4)</Label><Text>Officers of the Commission shall have in Canada, to the extent specified in paragraphs 1 to 3 of Article 8 and in Article 10 of the Agreement, the privileges and immunities set out in section 18 of Article V of the Convention.</Text></Subsection><Subsection lims:inforce-start-date="2006-03-22" lims:fid="964533" lims:id="964533"><Label>(5)</Label><Text>Experts performing missions for the Commission shall have in Canada, to the extent specified in Article 11 of the Agreement, the privileges and immunities set out in Article VI of the Convention.</Text></Subsection><HistoricalNote><HistoricalNoteSubItem lims:inforce-start-date="2006-03-22" lims:fid="964535" lims:id="964535">SOR/2003-110, s. 4</HistoricalNoteSubItem></HistoricalNote></Section></Body></Regulation>
