His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to subsection 1021(1)Footnote a and section 1047Footnote b of the Insurance Companies ActFootnote c, hereby makes the annexed Exemption for Public Notices or Documents Regulations (Insurance Companies and Insurance Holding Companies) Regulations.

Interpretation

 In these Regulations, Act means the Insurance Companies Act.

Exemption Circumstances

 For the purpose of section 1047 of the Act, the prescribed circumstances are that the exemption does not prejudice any of the shareholders or policyholders entitled to vote or the public interest.

Coming into Force

 These Regulations come into force on June 1, 2011.
